Exhibition information:

Trace Evidence features work from the Weisman collection and special loans that exploits the trace as evidence of social injustice, the physical body, prior evetns, the unconscious mind, and personal and social histories. Artists in the exhibition include Vito Acconci, Lewis Hine, Robert Motherwell, Andy Goldsworthy, Robert Rauschenberg, Joseph Beuys, Andre Masson, and Ana Mendieta. Ranging from documentary photographs to objects used in events to unconsciously drawn markings on paper to lipstick traces, the art in this exhibition brings together a diverse body of works that share a similar intent to emphasize the mark of presence.
