In much of her work, AndrŽe Tracey photographs small-scale sets which she has constructed. For Roast, she arranged a childrenŐs picnic table in front of a large, hand-painted photograph. In the resulting image, Tracey overturns the usually cheerful imagery of backyard barbecues through the charred edges of the picnic napkins and the raging fire in the neighborŐs yard.
