In this scene, a barn is destined for demolition as new houses crowd around it. Yet its form is echoed at miniature scale by the mailbox just across the street. These kind of symbolic expresssions inscribed on suburban landscapes prompted Peter Latner to name his series of photographs ÒSuburban Dreams.Ó
