For the stain glass decoration, Sullivan turned to Louis Millet. Millet's expertise in color harmony and interior decoration probably was a major factor in the final color palette of the banking room. The stained-glass windows and the skylights are perhaps the finest examples of Millet's craftmanship in the banking room. It was apparently was Elmslie who actually designed the windows and skylight, since they contain the same decorative motifs as other ornamentation in the bank. Millet undoubtedly determined the colors for the stained-glass to ensure that the windows and skylights would harmonize with the rest of the bank's ornament.
