Art study With advance notice, Weisman objects not currently on view can be requested from storage for viewing. Art Study visits are limited to 10 participants, but may be combined with a larger tour, allowing students to visit in shifts.
Promote artwords and artsounds competitions to U students artwords and artsounds are annual competitions that cultivate and showcase University student creativity. Students enrolled in classes in the Creative Writing Program and in Music select an artwork on view from the museum’s permanent collection and develop an original musical or literary piece in response. Link to the site to read and hear the student creations and view the art that inspired them. Peruse other artsounds audio programs related to Weisman exhibitions.
Event cosponsorship The Weisman cosponsors a limited number of University of Minnesota events and classes at the museum each semester. A cosponsored event must be open to the public and educational in nature. For most events, room rental fees are waived; however, some staffing and additional costs may apply. Contact the Weisman's events coordintor at wamevent@umn.edu or 612-625-9683 for more information about cosponsorship policies, space availability, and to complete an application.
